In the Stillness of My HeartA Service of Light in Prayer and Song Ursula Lentine - WordsPaul Campbell - Form and MusicThis service was composed to help congregations in New Thought to have an easy form to setup a quiet situation for prayer and song. The opening is the same as most traditional evening prayer services, except our references to light are by the Master Teacher, "Jesus", the Master Teacher, "Buddha", and the Master Teacher, "Ernest Holmes:" the Founder of Science of Mind Philosophy. There's a refrain and a verse to correspond to each philosopher. Second, a sung prayer response in the middle and last, a sung piece, "The Day Has Ended," which is antiphoned between the soloist and the singing body. |
